M128-26 River Tamar, Beauty Point and Deviot- Autonomous Surface Vessel Operations
Mariners are advised that an autonomous surface vessel (ASV) will be operating on the River Tamar from Friday, 27 March 2026, to Friday, 17 April 2026. ASV Operations will generally occur between 1000 hours and 1700 hours, Monday to Friday during this time.
The vessel will transit from the Australian Maritime College facility at Beauty Point to one of the specific testing areas bound by the following limits:

The support vessel Chromis, R5 and/or Skipjack will be on site, coordinating the safe operation of the ASV during its deployment, and will make contact over VHF CH 16 with any approaching surface vessels. The Australian Maritime College will have operational control and responsibility for the ASV at all times during its operations, including remote control functionality.
