M027-24(T) River Derwent – Blackmans Bay – Kelp Research Area
Mariners are advised that the sub-tidal longlines installed for a kelp research project south of Blackmans Bay will be moved to the coordinates shown below and remain in place for the duration of the project.
All vessels not directly involved in Scientific Research activities associated with the Kelp Research area are prohibited from entering the marked area while the research permit is in place.
The Kelp Research area is marked by IALA yellow special markers (lit).
Regulation 71 of the Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 2017 provides for the declaration of a specified area to be a prohibited area for navigation.
M214-23(T) and M266-23(T) are cancelled.
