Public Interest Disclosure Act

Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and transparency in the conduct of its operations.

Under the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2002, MAST provides a framework for the reporting and management of disclosures relating to improper conduct and detrimental action within the public sector. This process helps ensure that concerns can be raised safely and appropriately, supports public confidence in government services, and promotes a culture of ethical behaviour and accountability across the organisation. Individuals who make a disclosure are afforded protections under the Act, and all reports are managed in accordance with legislative requirements.
