MAST legislation

MAST’s legislation is established under the Marine and Safety Authority Act 1997, which provides the framework for the Authority’s functions and powers.

The Act is supported by a range of Statutory Rules (Regulations) that set out specific requirements relating to vessel registration, licensing, safety equipment, marine operations and other boating matters.
