| Residents and visitors may notice construction activity near the river entrance and Millington’s Beach. Expected timeframe Commencing in late June, works are expected to be completed by late July 2026. During weekdays, the river entrance will be impassable between 0730 and 1800 hours until the works are complete. What improvements are being undertaken – Using specialised equipment, MAST are commencing remedial works on the Prosser River training walls at the river’s entrance. – Additional container units will be installed on both the northern and southern training walls. – Works will strengthen sections of the structure and help reduce sand movement into the navigation channel. – Improvements are designed to support the ongoing function of the training walls, help maintain access through the river entrance, and improve conditions for recreational and commercial users of this waterway.
