M024-26 River Derwent, New Norfolk – Erosion Works
Mariners are advised that bank erosion prevention works will be undertaken on the River Derwent at Boyer Road, east of New Norfolk, near Derbyshire Cliffs and Pulpit Rock Lookout. Works will commence on Monday, 19 January 2026, and are expected to be completed by March 2026, between 07:00 hours and 17:00 hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.
Rock placement will occur within the river, with temporary protrusions extending up to 26 meters from the bank.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in this area.
