M050-26 Port of Burnie – Geotechnical Drilling Works
Mariners are advised that on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, the jack-up barge JUB will commence geotechnical drilling operations within a variety of locations around the Port of Burnie, inside the island breakwater.
The JUB will broadcast its position via AIS, maintain a listening watch on VHF Channels 14 and 16, and be lit accordingly.
Drilling operations will remain ongoing until further notice.
Mariners are requested to give the operation a wide berth and maintain a slow speed when passing the JUB.
