M054-26-26 Macquarie Harbour – Deployment of Acoustic Receiver Array – Amendment

Mariners are advised that the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies has deployed 106 underwater listening stations (hydrophones) in Macquarie Harbour. The receivers will remain in place for two years.

All parts of the array, including the sub-surface buoy, will remain greater than 4 meters below chart datum (Lowest Astronomical Tide).

Mariners navigating these areas in deep draught vessels and those wishing to conduct subsurface activities during this period are advised to do so with caution.

This notice replaces M362-25.
