M082-23 River Derwent – Bridgewater Bridge –  Closure of Lifting Span

To facilitate the construction of the new Bridgewater Bridge, the Department of State Growth has closed the lifting span on the existing Bridgewater Bridge.  From 1 March 2023 until 2025 the lifting span will be non-operational, restricting river travel for vessels higher than 2.2 metres on an average tide.
