M159-25 Lake Barrington – Australian Rowing Championships
Mariners are advised that Rowing Australia will be conducting the Australian Rowing Championships from 0700 hours on Saturday, 22 March 2025, until 1830 hours on Sunday, 30 March 2025. Mariners are advised that during this period, a prohibited area is declared within all waters surrounding the Lake Barrington Rowing Course, bound by an imaginary line across the Lake 1 km northeast of the start line and a second imaginary line across the lake 1.5 km south of the finish line.
Vessels not involved in the event must not enter or operate within the prohibited area unless authorised by Rowing Tasmania, Rowing Australia, or Marine and Safety Tasmania.
Regulation 71 (1) of the Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 2017 determines that MAST or an authorised officer may prohibit all or any navigation in a specified area at a specified time.
