M177-25(T) River Derwent , Sandy Bay– Sunken Vessel

Mariners are advised that an unlit Emergency Wreck Marker Buoy has been deployed on the sunken vessel in the River Derwent off Sandy Bay, in approximate position Latitude 42^o 54.027’ Longitude 147^o 20.250’.

There is limited clearance over the sunken vessel at low tide.  The Emergency Wreck Marker Buoy indicates the approximate position of the sunken vessel but should not be taken as the exact determination of its position, as the exact location may vary depending on weather and tide conditions.

Mariners should navigate with caution in the area and avoid passing close to the Emergency Wreck Marker Buoy.
