M199-26 Bridport, Goftons Beach – Fireworks Display – Prohibited Area

A fireworks display will be conducted from the Bridport foreshore in the vicinity of the lighthouse at Goftons Beach on Saturday, 30 May 2026, between 1900 and 1930 hours.

During this time, a prohibited area will be in force for all waters bounded by an imaginary circle with a radius of 100 metres, centred at position Latitude 41° 0.083’S Longitude 147° 23.822’E. All vessels are prohibited from navigating within this area.

Prior to the fireworks display between 1800 and 1900 hours, handheld red and orange smoke and parachute flares will also be deployed; these should not be taken as signals of distress.

Regulation 71 of the Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 2017 provides for the declaration of a specified area to be a prohibited area for other vessels or persons.
