M240-26 River Tamar – Beauty Point – Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Deployment

Mariners are advised that a 7.6 metre autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) will be operating in the Beauty Point area on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. The AUV will be launched from the wharf in Beauty Point.

The AUV will conduct a series of manoeuvres below the water surface within the deployment area. The standby vessel Tapilti will be on site during operations and will display flag ALPHA and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channels 16 and 14.

The AUV may conduct unplanned surfacing. Any vessels approaching the AUV’s approximate current location will be contacted via VHF Channels 16 and 14 and requested to alter course if there is a risk of collision.

Mariners should navigate the area with caution.
