M241-26 Storm Bay and Southeastern Coast of Tasmania – Scientific Research Voyage – RV Investigator

Mariners are advised that RV Investigator will be undertaking marine science operations from Wednesday, 1 July 2026, to Saturday, 11 July 2026, in the southeast of Tasmania, including the approaches to Storm Bay.

During this time, the vessel will deploy marine science equipment extending up to 600 metres from the vessel, and her manoeuvrability may be restricted. RV Investigator will display the appropriate lights and shapes in accordance with the COLREGs and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 16.

Mariners are requested to keep clear of RV Investigator and avoid operating in close proximity to the vessel.
