M271-26 Bass Strait – Burnie – Aquaculture Trial and Research Area – Marine Debris

Mariners are advised that 13 pole toppers have been lost from a damaged section of predator-exclusion fencing at the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre’s Bass Strait Research Trial Site, north of Burnie.

The pole toppers may be floating within or near the trial area and could present a hazard to navigation.

Mariners should navigate with caution in the area.
