M328-25 Prosser River, Orford – Marine Pollution Training Exercise
Mariners are advised that the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) will be undertaking a training exercise in the Prosser River, Orford on Wednesday, 15 October 2025. The exercise will involve the temporary deployment of an oil spill boom across a section of the river between the bridge and the mouth of the river.
The deployment and retrieval of the equipment will occur during daylight hours.
This is a controlled, simulated event, not a real marine pollution incident.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area and avoid interfering with the exercise and the equipment that is being deployed.
