M368-25 Spring Bay – Subsea Pipeline Installation
Mariners are advised that TasWater has completed the installation of a new water main pipeline on the seabed between Alginate Bay and Paddys Point in Spring Bay.
The final installed position of the pipeline is as follows:
Point 01: Latitude 42° 32.424’S Longitude 147° 54.905’E
Point 02: Latitude 42° 32.381’S Longitude 147° 55.094’E
Point 03: Latitude 42° 32.316’S Longitude 147° 55.384’E
Point 04: Latitude 42° 32.295’S Longitude 147° 55.478’E
The pipeline now lies on the seabed and is no longer marked on the surface.
The Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 2017 determine that the master of a vessel must not anchor, or dredge an anchor or any other equipment from the vessel, within 90 metres of a submarine pipeline.
