M369-25(T) River Derwent – Bridgewater Bridge – Demolition
Mariners are advised that the crane barge Leanora will be on site from Tuesday, 2 December 2025, to commence demolition works for the Bridgewater Bridge.
The barge will be temporarily moored on the downstream side of the new Bridgewater Bridge at approximately Latitude 42° 44.590’S, Longitude 147° 13.612’E until January 2026.
The barge is secured using spuds and a six-point anchor mooring system, with each anchor connected via 24 mm steel wire rope. All anchor positions are marked by yellow can buoys, each fitted with a 1–2 NM yellow solar marine light. The four corners of the barge are also fitted with 1–2 NM yellow solar marine lights.
Mariners are requested to keep well clear of the barge and its anchor lines and to remain within the designated navigation channel at all times.
The barge will be manned during working hours, Monday to Saturday, 0700–1700, and a listening watch on VHF Channel 16 will be maintained.
