M385-25 Jordan River, Gage Cove – Pipeline Installation
Mariners are advised that TasWater has completed the installation of a new subsea pipeline at Gage Cove, linking the Old Beach Sewage pump station with the Herdsmans Cove shoreline.
The final installed position of the pipeline is as follows:
Point 01: Latitude 42° 45.409’S Longitude 147° 15.804’E
Point 02: Latitude 42° 45.402’S Longitude 147° 15.806’E
Point 03: Latitude 42° 45.376’S Longitude 147° 15.814’E
Point 04: Latitude 42° 45.359’S Longitude 147° 15.820’E
Point 05: Latitude 42° 45.351’S Longitude 147° 15.823’E
Point 06: Latitude 42° 45.334’S Longitude 147° 15.828’E
The pipeline now lies on the seabed and is no longer marked on the surface.
The Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 2017 determine that the master of a vessel must not anchor, or dredge an anchor or any other equipment from the vessel, within 90 metres of a submarine pipeline.
