M405-24(T) Bass Strait – North Coast Tasmania – Monitoring Buoys

Mariners are advised that five water quality monitoring buoys will be installed in the following positions:

       Latitude                Longitude

1. 41° 9.110’S          146° 13.668’E
2. 41^o 3.951’S          146^o 20.340’E
3. 41^o 6.543’S         146^o 26.286’E
4. 41^o 10.151’S        146^o 23.874’E
5. 41^o 9.974’S         146^o 22.374’E

The buoys are yellow in colour and up to 1.75m in diameter, with a flashing yellow light visible for 3 nautical miles.

The buoys will be installed on 28 November 2024 and will remain in place until 30 June 2025.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and are not permitted to moor to the buoys.
