M283-24(T) South West Bass Strait – Deployment of Scientific Research Buoys

Mariners are advised 5 x IMOS surface buoys for satellite altimetry calibration and validation will be deployed within 0.1 nm of the three locations below from 26 July 2024 to 27 September 2024. Each buoy is lit by a flashing beacon (once every 3 seconds).

Vessels should transit the area with caution.
